Haijun Wen developed ArcOS, a compound-AI engine that addresses persona drift in production conversational AI by separating language generation from persona control, memory, and strategy using a five-stage pipeline. This architecture uses deterministic code for persona and control logic and language models only for perception, generation, and memory, enabling consistent persona retention over long conversations and easy swapping of underlying LLM backbones without rewriting code.
