Privacy Policy
AI BriefWire is a private, non-commercial pet project. This page explains the limited data used to operate accounts, requested features and email digests. Effective 11 August 2026.
The controller is the private individual operating AI BriefWire. Privacy questions and data requests can be sent to mail@aibriefwire.com.
For registered users we process an email address, password hash, verification and security timestamps, language and theme choices, saved stories, followed topics, companies and sources, alert settings, digest subscriptions, requested translations and poll votes. Short-lived server security logs may include an IP address and request metadata.
Account and security data are used to provide the service you request. Preferences, saved content, translations, polls and digests are used when you choose those features. Essential security and reliability processing is based on the operator's legitimate interest in keeping the service safe. AI BriefWire does not use advertising or personal visitor analytics.
The site uses only functional storage: a secure login session, language and theme choices, and a poll-vote identifier created after you vote to prevent duplicate voting. The former visitor analytics identifier is expired and no analytics cookie is created.
Hetzner hosts the service. OpenAI may process content submitted for AI-assisted editorial or translation features. Resend may process an email address and message content when account or digest email is sent. These providers may process data outside Poland or the EEA under their applicable data-protection safeguards.
Account data remains until the account is deleted or a specific item is removed. Expiring verification and reset tokens are retained only for their security window. Digest settings remain until disabled. Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security and reliability.
You can export your account data, disable digests and permanently delete your account from Workspace. You may also ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing by emailing mail@aibriefwire.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Polish data-protection authority, UODO.
AI-assisted systems may help collect, classify, summarize, translate and structure stories. Some briefings may be published automatically after configured checks. The methodology and corrections policy describe the editorial controls and how to report an issue.
